I have had Panasonic bathroom fans before. This one is also very quiet. I installed a timer on it to have it automatically turn off.

This is an excellent product that does everything it promises. All components are very high quality. It competely removes the humid air from a large bathroom with a cathedral ceiling. One piece of advice, don't skimp on capacity - err on buying more than you think you need.
The install is not for a causual DIYer - espcially if you are not replacing an existing fan. The criticisms regarding the vent flap in the unit are based on ignorance as this is not the flap that is supposed to provide complete backdraft prevention (all exhaust fan flaps I have seen are made the same as this one). It is assumed that the product will be vented to the outside with a hood that is equipped with a weatherproof backdraft flap (and animal screen). I personally installed my unit and had a roofing company install the roof vent.
Lastly, I plan on buying two more to replace old fans in smaller bathrooms.

I purchased this fan for our master bath and it worked great for 9 months (it has a 3 year warranty). It stopped working and panasonic refused to replace it because they supposedly no make this model and instead offered to just sent me a motor. By the time a contractor installed a motor in the old casing, I wound up spending more than I would have on a new fan. I would never by a panasonic fan again.
